Sample Itinerary for Southern Circuit
Arrive in Dar es Salaam-Tanzania
Upon arrival at the airport you will be met by one of our staff member and transferred to your hotel for a briefing and overnight.

Day 1

Mikumi National Park

Depart Dar es Salaam in a 4Wheel Drive vehicle with packed lunch boxes, proceed to Mikumi National park. You will pass the Sisal plantations and begin to get glimpses of the beautiful Uluguru Mountains that soar above the plains and the town of Morogoro. The highway then passes through Mikumi National Park where you will have the opportunity for some game viewing. Beyond Mikumi National park, afternoon game viewing, dinner and overnight at Vuma Hill tented Camp,

Days 2

Mikumi Nationa Park

After relax breakfast proceed to Ruaha National Park, the road climbs the Kitonga hills, which are part of the Udzungwa Mountains. The road then follows the Great Ruaha River, climbs the Great Rift Escarpment, passes Iringa town and finally arrives at your camp in Ruaha National Park, dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Camp

Days 3

Ruaha National Park

Full day on game drives, walks in Ruaha National Park. Ruaha River Camp is built overlooking the Great Ruaha River and it blends into its natural surroundings to enable visitors to feel themselves part of the wild. The accommodation consists of bandas built from local stone and thatch and provides the perfect setting in which to relax between bush excursions, Dinner and overnight in Ruaha River Camp

Day 4

Mikumi National Park

After breakfast in Ruaha River Camp drive back to Morogoro town with packed lunch boxes diner and overnight at Morogoro Hotel

Day 5

Selous Game Reserve

After breakfast you will depart with packed lunch boxes to Selous Game Reserve, This journey will take you approximately 6 hours through the most amazing and truly wild and untouched areas of Tanzania. The drive will take you up to the Uluguru Mountains, across rivers and past small local villages and farms and on to the Selous. The drive is tiring but possibly the most rewarding and adventurous on the Tanzania southern tourist circuit, dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp.

Day 6

Selous Game Reserve

After breakfast you can stretch your legs and enjoy the thrills of a safari on foot. After your walking safari return to the Camp for lunch, afternoon game drive in the Selous Game Reserve dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp

Day 7

Selous Game Reserve

Morning boat safari on the Rufiji River, This unique safari will allow you to experience the wildlife along the riverbanks and have close up views with Crocodile and Hippos. Return to the Camp for lunch. After lunch game drive in the Selous,dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp

Day 8

Back to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast drive back to Dar es Salaam with packed lunch arriving early afternoon. Transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight
